Week 3 BOC: Paparazzi

Paparazzi Challenge
I see how people become irate when cameras are constantly in their faces. For me, it would be like an over-sized fly swarming my face everywhere I went. Here I performed what I thought the paparrazi might capture. We went to a local park and set the "stage" for the shoot. Of course, there were a multitude of photos to choose from, but these are the ones that turned out the best. They represented, at best, what the paparazzi would have done in my opinion. The shutter speed was set in a way that I would be able to take multiple photos in a short time span. The colors were vibrant and body language set the mood perfectly. We communicated that he would need to continuously move around so that the effect of being bothered would be shown tremendously.

Week 2 BOC: Self Portrait

Self Portrait- Andy Warhol

My self portrait portrayed Andy Warhol's photographic style. I used a camera (Canon 7D) with a 70-200 mm lens. In order to pull of his version of the "Poloroid look", I sat at my writing table with the camera remote. Then, I got into position to take the photo. At first, I was going to not pose and do something like a mugshot. A mugshot doesn't tell my story, so I went with a more natural pose. It took a lot of retries to get a good one. (I'm not much of a selfie queen.) I also had to do some repositioning. This shoot was a little more nerve racking than I expected.

Week 1 EOC: Stallions Not Unicorns

As a photographer, I want to specialize in interior and architectural designs. My love for interiors came about a few years ago. I found myself looking for open houses just to see how they were staged. I tried my hand at being an interior designer and it just didn't quite work out. So, I made interiors work for me using a camera as my medium. The unity of colors and shapes are amazing to see in person. When you take pictures of interiors and make them available for the world to see, it makes the real estate property wanted so much more over homes with no creativity inside it. My goal is to make someone's dreams come true when they see that perfectly staged house! I want to be a part in the consumers' "looking" process. It's, to me, the most exciting part. You get to see what you do and do not want in a house.

Week 1 EOC: My Voice

As a kid I was always in front of a camera. I grew to eventually want to be behind one. I became interested in the story behind the picture. As a photographer, I think about different subjects to shoot everyday. You can call me the photographer with ADHD. I love color AND black and white images. Fashion photography is also something I am intrigued by. A lot of my pictures create an emotion and are very personal to me. I didn’t always start with photography as an artform. First, I started in Graphic Design with a desire to do web design. Then, I went into Interior Design and wanted to shoot myself in the foot and finally landed here with Photography! Now, I get to be inspired by everything and take pretty pictures of it.
